Five players scored in double figures, and the San Bernardino Valley College men's basketball team held Barstow College to 26.9 percent shooting from the field as the Wolverines rolled to a 114-70 victory Saturday afternoon.
The Wolverines led by 11 at the half, but the Vikings rallied to start the second half, pulling within five points 2:54 into the half. After a Barstow timeout, however, the Wolverines went on a 16-0 run over the next nearly four minutes to take a 63-42 lead.
SBVC spread the scoring around, as Darius Carr had a game-high 21 points. Khemanni Davis added 20 points with a game-high 11 rebounds, while Jason Lee posted 20 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. Benjamin Byrd had 13 points off the bench, while Andre Speight added 11 points.
The Wolverines now prepare for a visit from Cerro Coso on Wednesday. The two teams are tied for second in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference with two games left to play. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m.
