After losing a close game to Fullerton on Wednesday evening, San Bernardino Valley College men's basketball coach was going to look for a full-court effort Saturday afternoon against Saddleback.
He got it.
The Wolverines forced 19 Saddleback turnovers and held the Bobcats to only 29.8 percent shooting as SBVC rolled to a 90-51 victory.
Saddleback actually opened the game with a 6-0 lead thanks to two 3-pointers from Jackson Gray. But after Gray's opening triples, the Bobcats went cold and the Wolverines picked up their offense, taking their first lead 5:55 into the game at 10-8. After Saddleback drew even, the Wolverines went on a 7-0 run that turned the tide of the game. SBVC never trailed again.
Darius Carr once again led the Wolverines in scoring, pouring in 26 points and pulling down five rebounds. Shadale Knight added 14 points and eight assists, with Khemanni Davis adding 11 points and six rebounds. SBVC outrebounded Saddleback 43-32.
