SBVC Men’s Basketball: Bashir signs letter of intent

SBVC Men's Basketball sophomore forward Trayvon Bashir (Bloomington H.S.) has signed a letter of intent to play for University of Great Falls next season.

A key defender for SBVC, Bashir started 31 games, collecting 22 blocks, grabbing 164 boards, dishing out 60 assists and scoring 61 points.

Under the tutelage of seventh-year coach Quincy Brewer, SBVC Men's Basketball ended the 2014-2015 season claiming their 14th Conference championship, he was awarded for the fourth time as Coach of the Year finishing the regular season, ranked second in the state with a 29-2 overall record and a 10-0 conference record, wrapping up the regular season winning 18 straight games. They were rewarded with the 3 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs.

University of Great Falls is located in Great Falls, Montana which is about 125 miles south of the US-Canadian border and 90 miles north of Helena, Montana, the states capital. The UGF Argonauts play in McLaughlin Center, and the team is coached by second-year coach, Anthony Owens. In the 2014-15 season, the Argos went 6-8 in conference play, with an overall record of 17-12, finishing 6th. UGF is in the Frontier Conference of NAIA.
