Women’s Cross Country finishes 2nd at the Cougar Challenge

In their final regular season event of the 2014 season, the SBVC Women's Cross Country team grabbed a second place finish at the Cougar Challenge, the top individual finisher for SBVC placed 9th, freshman Fernanda Rodriguez (Jurupa Valley Rubidoux) with a time of 18:37.

SBVC grabbed 82 points at this event, finishing nine points ahead of San Diego Mesa College and 67 points behind winner and host Cal State San Marcos, the 7th Annual Cougar Challenge was held at Mangrum Track on the campus of Cal State San Marcos.

 The next highest finisher for SBVC was freshman Pandora Mondragon (Fontana Jurupa Hills) placing 11th with a time of 18:43 and placing 16th was sophomore Karlie Creal (Moreno Valley Vista del Lago) with a time of 19:22.

 Finishing 22nd was sophomore Adrianna Contreras (Fontana Jurupa Hills) with a time of 19:57 and freshman Jessica Hernandez (Rialto W.A. Carter) wrapped up the SBVC finishers with a time of 20:20, placing 24th.

 Competing, but out of the top five for SBVC was freshman Citlaly Garcia (San Bernardino Cajon) who finished in 29th place and freshman Jennifer Granados-Trejo (Jurupa Valley Patriot) in 34th place.
