Wolverines Get Back on Track with Win

Coming home after a three-game stretch on the road was just what the San Bernardino Valley College women's soccer team needed.

Allyson Awunganyi scored in the third minute, and the Wolverines held Victor Valley College to zero shots as SBVC picked up a 3-0 win Tuesday afternoon in SBVC Stadium.

Awunganyi ran on to a leading cross pass from sister Addyson, and she tapped the ball into Victor Valley net for a quick 1-0 lead.

Jovana Soto-Torres doubled the lead in the 25th minute, as she took a long pass and fired it past goalkeeper Maxcine Lowe for a 2-0 halftime lead.

The Wolverines added another goal in the 52nd minute, as April Regalado rocketed a shot to the top corner and the 3-0 lead.

It was more than enough. The Wolverines outshot the Rams 35-0 Tuesday afternoon. Lowe and Corrina Gomez combined for nine saves for the Rams.
