San Bernardino Valley College’s women’s basketball team had two players selected for All-Inland Empire Athletic Conference honors by coaches following the conclusion of the regular season.
Destiny Alexander, the team’s only sophomore, was selected to the first team by conference coaches. The guard/forward led the Wolverines, averaging 16.2 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game for the season.
Joining Alexander on the first team was freshman Julianna Sanchez. Sanchez handled much of the point guard duties for the Wolverines, averaging 12.0 points and 5.3 assists per game.
SBVC finished the season 14-12 overall and in a three-way tie for second place in the IEAC with a conference record of 8-4.
