Fifth Season (2025)

Kendra Mendoza starts the 2025 season as the head coach of the SBVC softball team. Mendoza previously had served the past four seasons as the assistant coach for previous coach Devin Bennett.

Mendoza started her collegiate career at College of the Desert, where she was part of back-to-back conference championship teams, and was an all-conference, and an all-state academic selection in 2015. During her soph­omore year at COD, she hit .350 and slugged .400. Behind the plate, she recorded only one passed ball on the season, threw out eight runners - ninth in the state. She graduated from COD with a degree in kinesiology before transfer­ring to Newman University on scholarship. As a senior at Newman, she posted only three passed balls and had a .979 fielding percentage in 31 games.
