The San Bernardino Valley College men's cross country team continued its reign atop the Inland Empire Athletic Conference on Friday, as it won the conference championships hosted by Norco College.

SBVC had six runners finish in the top 10, helping the Wolverines score 24 points to hold off Chaffey, which finished with 38 points. 

Jake Caliva led the way for the Wolverines, finishing second place with a time of 22 minutes, 28.8 seconds in the four-mile run. He was followed by five runners finishing in the fourth through eighth position. Dennis Cordova finished fourth, posting a time of 22:50.7, with Arian Mayorga crossing at 22:55.9, and Chris Valderrama right behind at 22:57.7. Fercis Torres finished seventh at 23:19.2 and Joseph Gaitan finished eighth at 23:34.6.

The Wolverines will now prepare for Southern California Regionals on Friday.
