Three Take All-IEAC First-Team Honors

Three members of the San Bernardino Valley College men's soccer team earned All-Inland Empire Athletic Conference first team honors as selected by coaches for the 2024 season.

Leading the way was the team's leading scorer, Eric Ramos. A sophomore forward from Moreno Valley Valley View High, Ramos netted eight goals on the season, and added three assists. His 16 career goals at SBVC put him in a four-way tie for second all-time in career goals at SBVC.

He was joined on the first team by midfielder Daniel Rodas (San Bernardino Cajon). The sophomore co-led the team with six assists in the regular season, while also contributing two goals. Freshman defender Abram Araujo was the final first-team selection. The San Bernardino High grad had two goals and two assists for SBVC.

Three players were selected for second team honors, as well. Ezekiel Soto, the Wolverines' No. 10, was selected. Often controlling play through the middle, the sophomore from San Gorgonio High School matched Rodas with six assists on the season. Sophomore forward Josiah Paez (Moreno Valley Valley View) had two goals and three assists on the season. And freshman Adrian Ayon (Rialto Wilmer Amina Carter) finished the regular season third on the team with three goals.

Earning honorable mention selections were Saul Ruiz (Rialto Wilmer Amina Carter) and Ramses Carranza (Victor Valley).

The Wolverines open the California Community College Athletic Association playoffs at 2 p.m. Nov. 20 on the soccer field against MiraCosta College. Tickets are $12 for general admission, and $8 for students (with current ID), faculty/staff, seniors 56 and older, and children ages 6-12.
