A military veteran with more than three decades of experience, Alexander Salmon II joins the San Bernardino Valley College football coaching staff. 

Salmon, a graduate of Redlands High School, spent eight years in the Marines and another seven years in the Army. He played semi-professional football and was a part of the Las Vegas arena developmental league. 

He has used the lessons from his military career to transform teams through disciplined training, innovative play-calling, and a commitment to player development. His tactical leadership roles have helped foster team unity, teach resilience, and help teams to a high-level of performance under stress.
