Patrick MacDonald
Assistant Coach - Pitching and Recruiting Coordinator
Patrick MacDonald joins the San Bernardino Valley College baseball coaching staff after a successful collegiate pitching career.
MacDonald grew up in the Corona area and graduated from Riverside's Hillcrest High School. He played his freshman year at Mt. San Jacinto College before transferring to Cal State San Marcos. At San Marcos, he made 17 starts and appeared in 26 games on the mound while also hitting .315 as a sophomore. In his junior year, he ranked in the top 10 in the conference in seven pitching categories. He transferred to Cal State Dominguez Hills for his senior year, where he was the opening day starter. He made 13 starts in that season, striking out 55 in 64 innings.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from San Marcos, and has a Masters of Arts degree in negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution from Dominguez Hills.
MacDonald is also a part of the West Coast Blackdogs organization, in which he is the head coach of the group's 12U team.
