San Bernardino Valley College Athletics

Dr. David Grossman joins San Bernardino Valley College as an accomplished higher education leader with over two decades of experience in academic administration, collegiate athletics, and strategic institutional planning.  In his former role as Dean of Physical Education at Fullerton College, Dr. Grossman oversaw comprehensive academic and athletic programming, fostering student success through compliance, innovation, and community partnerships.

Dr. Grossman has a proven track record in aligning educational practices with accreditation standards, program review processes, and student learning outcomes. His leadership has driven the development of successful academic degrees and athletic programs, with a strong track record in student-athlete graduation and transfer rates.

Expertise in accreditation and institutional effectiveness has been demonstrated through his presentations at the ASCCC Accreditation Institute, the Strengthening Student Success Conference, and with the ACCJC.  Dr. Grossman is a published scholar whose work emphasizes data-informed decision-making in education. His affiliations include the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A), the Association of California Community College Administrators (ACCCA), and the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges (ASCCC).

Known for his collaborative leadership style, regulatory expertise, and dedication to student-centered education, Dr. Grossman continues to advocate for integrity, inclusion, and excellence in community college education and athletics.  He earned all his academic degrees from California State University, Fullerton, including a Doctorate in Education, a Master of Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Athletic Administration.
