SBVC Women’s Volleyball lost a tough one against L.A. Mission

SBVC fought a tough battle against the Sylmar Los Angeles Mission Eagles, but ended up losing in three sets with scores of 13-25, 19-25 and 20-25.

Game two, SBVC came out strong taking an early 9-8 lead, forcing the Eagles to adjust their attack plan. Midway through the game SBVC started to climb back into the game tying the game 16-16. SBVC looked as though they were getting ready for a big push late, but L.A. Mission regained their momentum and secured set two.

Freshman setter Reillovi Leifi (Apple Valley H.S.) led the team with 11 digs and 13 assists, grabbing 3 kills and freshman libero Valerie Navarrete (Fontana A.B. Miller) collected 6 digs. Freshman outside hitter Roslynn Hamilton (Moreno Valley Vista del Lago) led the team with 4 kills and had 5 digs and sophomore middle blocker Yamiq Myles (Moreno Valley Vista del Lago) led the team with 2 solo blocks and 3 assist blocks.

The next game for SBVC will be Friday, September 4 at 5 p.m. at Palomar. The next home game for SBVC will be Tuesday, September 29 at 5 p.m. vs. Riverside City.
