The San Bernardino Valley College women’s soccer team had a great season on the field – going to the state final four.

But their work in the classroom was stellar as well.

Three members of the 2018 team were named to the California Community College Soccer Coaches Association Scholar Athletes for their efforts. To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must have completed 24 units with at least a 3.3 grade point average.

This year’s honorees from SBVC were Shantee Martin, Drew Cason and Alexis Caceres.
