San Bernardino Valley College women’s soccer defender Monica Garcia was named a second team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches in its Junior College Division III selections.

Garcia was a key member of the Wolverines’ defensive crew, holding down the wings on a defense that posted 16 shutouts and only allowed 13 goals on the season.

Garcia, a sophomore from Bloomington High School, scored two goals and added three assists in the 2018 season. Both of her goals were credited as game-winners.
