Hector Alba’s job for the San Bernardino Valley College men’s soccer team was to keep other teams from scoring.
As the center back, he led a unit that only conceded 25 goals in the 2019 season, as SBVC finished tied for second in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference.
Alba, a freshman from Fontana High School, was rewarded for his work by being named to the California Community College Soccer Coaches’ Association’s All-Southern California team.
Alba also chipped in on the offensive side, scoring four goal and adding an assist for the Wolverines.
