Herrera Heads Up Hill to Play for Coyotes

Hugo Herrera, a versatile player on the pitch for San Bernardino Valley College during the 2018 season, has joined the men's soccer team at Cal State San Bernardino, according to SBVC coach Josh Brown.

A graduate of Shadow Hills High School in Palm Desert, with a hometown of Indio, Herrera scored five times for SBVC in 2018, adding two assists in just 12 games played. A forward, Herrera used his 6-1 frame to help hold down the Wolverines' midfield and defense. But he did come up big with a two-goal game to help SBVC beat Palomar.

Herrera was one of five players from the 2018 team to move on to the next level in 2019.
