SBVC Celebrates Sophomores with Victory

In a season full of challenges on and off the court, the San Bernardino Valley College volleyball team celebrated the hard work of its sophomores before Friday night's game against Cerro Coso College.

The team got to celebrate after the game, too.

The Wolverines fought off a challenge from the Coyotes to win the Inland Empire Athletic Conference contest 25-18, 22-25, 25-23, 25-12.

SBVC got some big contributions from its sophomores in the victory. Libero Jordan Segura was big on defense with 28 digs, while setter Jordan Longo 26 assists and eight digs.

Meanwhile, the offense was led by Mahalynn Sawyer, who pounded 17 kills, while Ruby Siaosi added 14 more in the victory.
