Dieynaba Sylla scored 21 points and had 16 rebounds as the San Bernardino Valley College women's basketball team opened the home part of its schedule with a 93-67 victory over Oxnard College inside the SBVC Athletics Complex.

The Wolverines started strong, but were behind by four after the first quarter. But SBVC scored the first eight points in the second quarter to take a four-point lead. But Oxnard came back to tie it 23, but after a timeout from coach Julia Smith, the Wolverines went on a run to take control of the game and lead by eight at the half.

SBVC took control in the third quarter, outrebounding the Condors 17-8 in the quarter, with 10 of SBVC's boards coming on the offensive end. That turned out to be a big part of the SBVC win, as the Wolverines scored 26 second-chance points, to only six for the Condors.
