Last Shot Doesn't Fall for SBVC in Loss to ELAC

Dominique Daniels scored 35 points, but could not get one last shot to fall with about six seconds remaining, as the San Bernardino Valley College men's basketball team lost to East Los Angeles College 76-75 in the semifinals of the Alvin Hunter Classic semifinal game Saturday night.

Daniels drove the basket, and had his floater hit the back of the iron. The Wolverines' Chine Nwaneva appeared to pull down the rebound and tried to put a shot back up, but the Wolverines' were called for a foul, sending Gregory Melvin to the line with just under three seconds remaining. He missed his free throw, but the Wolverines couldn't get control of the ball to get a desperation shot off at the end.
