INFORMATION FOR PROSPECTIVE ATHLETES
San Bernardino Valley College offers a great way to begin your college academic and athletic career. We have a variety of vocational and transfer programs that would meet your academic goal as well as 12 competitive athletic teams.
If you are not sure where to start, here is a brief outline of what you need to do.

Welcome to San Bernardino Valley College Athletics. We are excited that you have chosen San Bernardino Valley College as the next phase of your athletic and academic endeavors. If you haven't yet, please follow the steps below to begin your career as a Wolverines.
1. Apply to San Bernardino Valley College
Apply online at www.valleycollege.edu
Processing may take up to 24 hours
2. Apply for Financial Aid
Complete BOG fee waiver and FAFSA applications, and view How to Complete My File at:
www.valleycollege.edu/Financialaid
3. Request Transcripts
Request that your official high school and /or college transcripts to be sent to admissions & records at San Bernardino valley college. Please bring an unofficial copy to your counseling appointment or e-mail an unofficial copy to Mr. Wooten
4. Complete the on-line orientation
The new Student Orientation can now be completed online at: www.valleycollege.edu/webadvisor
Please e- mail Mr. Wooten at awooten@valleycollege.edu after you have completed the on-line orientation.
5. Take assessment
Take English, Reading and Math placement test at https://esars.sbccd.org/V_AssessmentCtr/eSARS.asp?WCI=Init&WCE=Settings or your local Community College. Assessments can be waived if you have taken the appropriate English and /or Math classes at another college.
6. Counseling for Athletes
Schedule a counseling appointment (in office or over phone) with Mr. Wooten to complete an Education Plan. Do not see a general counselor. If you have seen a general counselor you must make a follow-up appointment with Mr. Wooten as soon as possible.
