SBVC Women’s Cross Country finishes 18th at SoCal Finals

SBVC ran in their final event of the 2015 season at the Southern California Finals at Mission Bay Park in San Diego finishing 18th, scoring 484 points.

SBVC finished 12 points ahead of Santiago Canyon, the 18th place finish means the team qualified for the CCCAA State Finals in Fresno on November 21st. As has been the case most of the season, sophomore Fernanda Rodriguez (Jurupa Valley Rubidoux) led the way for SBVC finishing the 5000 meter course in 41st place with a time of 20:25.1.

Finishing 97th was sophomore Jessica Hernandez (Rialto W.A. Carter) with a time of 21:44.9 and freshman Kimberly Cooley (San Bernardino Cajon) finished 109th with a time of 22:00.2. Freshman Alexis Espinosa (San Bernardino Pacific)  finished 117th with a time of 22:10.6 and freshman Alyssa Hebb (Redlands East Valley) wrapped up the top five for SBVC with a time of 22:16.1, finishing 120th.

Sophomore Citlaly Garcia (San Bernardino Cajon) and freshman Cynthia Boyzo (Jurupa Valley H.S.) finished 124th and 132nd for SBVC on the afternoon.
