SBVC Women’s Cross Country finishes 6th at Coyote Challenge

SBVC ran in their third event of the 2015 season at the Coyote Challenge at California State University, San Bernardino finishing sixth, scoring 184 points with freshman Alexis Espinosa (San Bernardino Pacific) leading the way finishing the 6000 meter course in 34th place with a time of 26:21.2.

SBVC finished 162 points behind winner, UC San Diego, the host, Cal State San Bernardino finished second with 34 points.

All of SBVC scoring finishers were clumped together; crossing the line from 34 to 37, finishing 35th was freshman Alyssa Hebb (Redlands East Valley) with a time of 26:49.3 and freshman Kimberly Cooley (San Bernardino Cajon) finished 36th with a time of 27:14.5. Sophomore Jessica Hernandez (Rialto W.A. Carter) finished 37th with a time of 27:21.0 and sophomore Citlaly Garcia (San Bernardino Cajon) wrapped up the top five for SBVC with a time of 28:35.5, finishing 42nd.

Freshman Cynthia Boyzo (Jurupa Valley) and freshman Andrea Carbajal (Rialto W.A. Carter) had their best time of the season, finishing 44th and 48th for SBVC on the afternoon.
