SBVC Women’s Cross Country finishes 8th at the SoCal Championships

The SBVC Women's Cross Country team grabbed their second straight CCCAA state finals appearance with an eighth place finish at the SoCal Championships, the top individual finisher for SBVC placed 18th on the 5000 meter course, freshman Pandora Mondragon (Fontana Jurupa Hills) with a time of 19:06.38.

SBVC grabbed 289 points at this event, finishing three points ahead of Bakersfield College and 228 points behind winner Glendale, the SoCal Championships was held at Woodley Park in Van Nuys.

The next highest finisher for SBVC was freshman Fernanda Rodriguez (Jurupa Valley Rubidoux) placing 23rd with a time of 19:18.58 and placing 57th was sophomore Karlie Creal (Moreno Valley Vista del Lago) with a time of 20:09.73.

Finishing 94th was sophomore Adrianna Contreras (Fontana Jurupa Hills) with a time of 20:59.14 and freshman Jessica Hernandez (Rialto W.A. Carter) wrapped up the SBVC finishers with a time of 21:03.52, placing 97th.

Competing, but out of the top five for SBVC was freshman Jennifer Granados (Jurupa Valley Patriot) who finished in 131st place and freshman Citlaly Garcia (San Bernardino Cajon) in 145th place.
