Assistant Coach

2nd Season

When it comes to compiling a list of dominating women's volleyball players in San Bernardino County history, Samantha Middleborn's name will be somewhere near the top of it.

The Wilmer Amina Carter High School graduate went on to a stellar career at Cal State San Bernardino, where she led the Coyotes to four straight CCAA championships, four straight NCAA West Region Championships and three trips to the NCAA semifinals. She was twice the AVCA National Player of the Year, three-time All-American and two-time CCAA Player of the Year. Her name also filled the school's record book, posting a .480 hitting percentage in a single season and a .428 career hitting percentage. The 48 percentage hitting mark and 148 assisted blocks in 2011 are CCAA records. She was inducted into the CCAA Hall of Fame in 2019.

After her career at Cal State, she went on to play professionally overseas, with stops in France, Switzerland, South Korea and Italy.

Before joining the SBVC staff, she coached at her alma mater and Alta Loma High School, as well as four years with the Rancho Valley Volleyball Club.
