In soccer, size does not always matter.

And San Bernardino Valley College opponents found that out when Nayeli Sandoval – listed at 4-foot-11 tall – stepped on the field.

Sandoval, a sophomore from Bloomington High School, added to her list of postseason awards recently, as she was named to the California Community College Soccer Coaches’ Association’s All-Southern California team.

The forward completed her second year at SBVC with a 12-goal, eight assist season, which also earned her the Inland Empire Athletic Conference’s Most Valuable Player. She completed her two years at SBVC with 22 goals and 12 assists. Seven of her 22 goals were game-winners.
