Devin Bennett

SBVC Softball

First Season

Devin Bennett comes to San Bernardino Valley College with a resume full of helping develop softball players to make it to the next level.

Born in Visalia, but raised in Overland Park, Kansas, Bennett was a two-time Academic All-American at Iowa Lakes Community College, where she was part of an NJCAA Division II National Championship team. She moved on to William Penn University, where she was an Academic All-Midwest Collegiate Conference selection, while earning her degree in chemistry. She spent one year as a student assistant at William Penn, helping the team to a conference championship.

She moved to Southern California, where she earned her Master’s Degree in kinesiology, with a focus on exercise science. She resumed her coaching career as well, serving as an assistant at Cal State San Bernardino before taking her first head coaching job at Victor Valley College in 2014.

She then returned to the assistant ranks, first at College of the Desert in 2015 – where she helped seven players transfer to four-year schools – before three years at Southwestern College, where 12 players made their way to four-year schools, and the Jaguars made the playoffs each season.

In 2019, she coach Cerro Coso College to the most wins in the school’s history, and had two players move on to the four-year level.
