SBVC moved onto their fourth event of the 2016 season at the San Bernardino Sports Complex for the inaugural SBVC Invitational, where the team finished 1st overall on the 4 mile course.

SBVC finished with 30 points and for the first time since September 2nd had both sophomore Michael Teran (Fontana Jurupa Hills) and sophomore Luis Ortega (Fontana Jurupa Hills) in action. And they lit up the field, as Ortega not only finished first individually; he crossed the line 31 seconds ahead of second place finisher Teran. Each time those two run, they put on a show and every spectator at the Soccer Complex left satisfied.

Not to be outdone, sophomore David Hughes (Redlands East Valley) dropped 30 seconds off of his previous best 4 mile finish and crossed the line in 5th place with a time of 20:33.20 and sophomore Erubey Camacho (Colton H.S.) made it in with a time of 20:57.81, dropping 33 seconds off of his previous best, good enough for 8th place.

Wrapping up the top five, with a top 15 finish, sophomore Christian Sharp (Redlands East Valley) who crossed the line with a time of 21:11.87, dropping 34 seconds off of his previous best 4 mile time, good enough for 14th place.

Freshman John Hernandez (Moreno Valley Canyon Springs) and sophomore Josue Lopez (Jurupa Valley Rubidoux) finished 18th and 19th for SBVC on the morning.
