SBVC once again showed why they are the team to beat in SoCal by winning the Howard Brubaker Invitational by 36 points ahead of their nearest opponent at Irvine Regional Park.

The team finished with 35 points with freshman Michael Teran (Fontana Jurupa Hills) leading the way, finishing the 4 mile course in 20:46.25.

Freshman Luis Ortega (Fontana Jurupa Hills) finished right on Teran's heels, only 14 seconds behind with a time of 21:00.46, good enough for third place and sophomore Derek Barnett (Redlands East Valley) crossed the line in 4th place with a time of 21:27.31.

Freshman Christian Sharp (Redlands East Valley) crossed the finish line in 9th place with a time of 22:12.81 and freshman Josue Lopez (Jurupa Valley Rubidoux) grabbed the final top five spot, with a time of 22:39.69 ending up 18th.

Sophomore Cameron Graves (Moreno Valley Canyon Springs) and sophomore Fernando Bolanos (Rialto W.A. Carter) finished 19th and 24th for SBVC on the afternoon.
