The San Bernardino Valley College men's and women's track team finished third overall during the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Track and Field Finals, which were held April 21 at SBVC.

Derreck Affor continued his strong season for the Wolverines, winning the 110 meter hurdles and the previously contested decathlon, while finishing second in the 400 meter hurdles.

The Wolverines took four of the top five spots in the men's 1500 run, with Carlos de la Torre beating teammate John Hernandez by almost five seconds for the top spot, with Humberto Guzman taking fourth and Anjel Ramirez taking fifth. De la Torre also won the 800 meters. The men's distance runners also distinguished themselves in the 3000 meter steeplechase, with Eduardo Toris running away from the field, winning the race in 10:02.95, almost 50 seconds ahead of his nearest challenger. Fernando Vidrio finished third, with Mauricio Ramos in fourth and Guzman finishing fifth. And in the 5000 meters, the Wolverines placed runners in positions two through seven in the field.

The women's team did not have any dominating performances, but were solid up and down the field on the warm, blustery day in San Bernardino.
