Goalkeeper Magana Commits to Cal State Dominguez Hills

For the past two seasons, the San Bernardino Valley College men’s soccer team had a constant presence at the back line that it was able to rely on – goalkeeper Arturo Magana.

Standing 6-foot-5, the San Bernardino High School graduate was an imposing figure in the goal for SBVC. The last line of defense, he was someone who made the big save, and was able to help start a counterattack with a booming kick from his foot.

Now, Magana will be taking his gloves to continue his career at California State University, Dominguez Hills this fall.

In two seasons at SBVC, Magana appeared in 30 games, starting 25 while posting a goals against average of 1.59. He made 70 saves – 35 per season – and posted eight clean sheets.
