Coach Graham has seen success at various levels of coaching through the years, from the high school ranks to AAU. During a 13-year tenure as head coach at San Bernardino High, he led the Cardinals to the CIF playoffs in just his second season, breaking a 10-year playoff drought. Coach Graham won six league titles during his stint at SBHS with three being in the San Andreas League and three in the Mountain Valley League. With success came accolades. Coach Graham earned Coach of the Year five times, Citrus Belt Area Athletic Directors Association League Championship Coach six times, six of his players earned All-CIF Honors and two of his players earned All-State Honors. During Coach Graham’s coaching career at SBHS he had a 100% graduation rate which is a stat that he is extremely proud of.

Outside of the high school ranks, Coach Graham is a member of the Compton Magic AAU program, and has been since 2006. "DG", the nickname given to him by the Compton Magic CEO, Etop Udo-Ema, has seen plenty of success with the Magic where he has coached at the 15U, 16U and 17U levels. While coaching the 15U Compton Magic team, Coach DG won his first National Championship, finishing the AAU season ranked #1 in the Country. His 15U team included the likes of TJ Leaf (UCLA, Indiana Pacers), Dikymbe Martin (UCR) and Christian Gray (Fresno St). In 2018, after being moved up to the 17U level, Coach Darin "DG" Graham and the Compton Magic finished ranked #1 in the Country once again. This was a season that included a victory in arguably one of the biggest games in AAU history which saw Compton Magic (top ranked ADIDAS team) defeat Team Takeover (top ranked NIKE team) 81-79 in overtime. The Magic players on that roster included Onyeka Okongwu (USC), Isaiah Mobley (USC), Jarod Lucas (Oregon St), Johnny Juzang (Kentucky), Isaiah Hill (Tulsa) and Evan Mobley (USC commit/#1 ranked class of 2020 player in the Country). Since the Compton Magic’s formation, it has sent hundreds of players on to four-year schools as well as to play professional basketball at the highest level in the United States and overseas.
