Spartans Score Two and Beat Top Team In Conference

In their last scheduled regular season game the Spartans took a three game win streak into San Bernardino to take on the top team in the conference.  Ninety minutes later MiraCosta left with a 2-0 win and a fourth place finish in Pacific Coast Conference play. 

The first goal was scored by sophomore Joseph Kicko in the 30th minute. Kicko's goal was unassisted and carried the Spartans into halftime with a 1-0 lead.  In the second half the Spartans received their second goal from freshman Rafael Carmeiro in the 86th minute. Goalkeeper Eric Barajas played all 90 minutes and recorded four saves.

With the 2-0 win the Spartan improve their conference record to 7-5-4.
