SBVC moved onto their fourth event of the 2016 season at the San Bernardino Sports Complex for the inaugural SBVC Invitational, where the team finished 6th overall on the 5k course.

SBVC finished with 137 points, minus top runner, sophomore Alyssa Hebb (Redlands East Valley), but the host school received a strong effort from freshman Savanna Perez (Rialto W.A. Carter) who finished 9th individually and dropped a whole 1:40 off of her previous best, crossing the line with a time of 18:50.35.

The 6th place finish was a hard fought one as SBVC competed against some of the top teams in the state, which included: Glendale, Canyons, LA Harbor and Cerritos.

Finishing a strong 27th place and dropping 1:07 off of her previous best was freshman Daniela Soria (Redlands Citrus Valley) who collected a time of 21:01.55 and sophomore Cynthia Boyzo (Jurupa Valley H.S.) who crossed the finish line dropping 2:06 off of her previous best, with a time of 21:20.76, good enough for 30th place.

sophomore Alexis Espinosa (San Bernardino Pacific) wrapped up a 34th place finish, dropping 1:08 off of her previous best with a time of 21:49.90 and freshman Iridian Valdivia (Moreno Valley Valley View) wrapped up the top five for SBVC, dropping 2:35 off of her previous best with a time of 22:43.54, finishing in 37th place.
