This is Tricia’s fourth year with San Bernardino Valley College. Tricia Holder has been coaching club volleyball since 1993, she was a Head coach at the Stanford and USD volleyball camps for five years. She worked as a personal trainer for three years while completing her college degrees. She was the assistant coach at Palomar Community College volleyball for two years where they were Conference champions.
 
Most recently, Tricia was the Varsity volleyball coach/PE & Health instructor at Fairmont Preparatory Academy. In 2006 Tricia was named Coach of the Year for the Express League and in 2007 the team moved up to the San Joaquin league and was still able to finish 2nd in league, behind the eventual CIF champions. Additionally, the team went on to the CIF Semi-finals for the first time in the school’s history.

Tricia Holder carries a huge passion for volleyball, health and fitness. “A strong coach is one who displays a positive outlook that is contagious and carries over to the players. A coach should always believe in her team, encourage them to work up to their potential, and help the athletes be the best they can be at all times on and off the court.

Tricia Holder grew up in Huntington Beach, California where she began playing club volleyball in the sixth grade competing throughout the balance of her high school and college years. Tricia completed her B.S. at Christian Heritage College and received her Masters Degree in Physical Education at Azusa Pacific University. She also earned her Fitness Specialist Certificate from San Diego City College.
