Sixth-ranked Canyons Sweeps Through Wolverines

The San Bernardino Valley College women's volleyball team had a tall order ahead of them the moment they stepped into the gym to take on sixth-ranked College of the Canyons on Wednesday night.

Add in the loss of outside hitter Tialanni Iose mid-way through the first set due to injury, and the Wolverines went from a hill to climb to a mountain.

The Cougars swept through the depleted San Bernardino lineup, winning 25-7, 25-6, 25-8 in just over an hour.

Canyons' defense had an answer for just about every Wolverine attack on Wednesday, only allowing five kills from San Bernardino in 38 attacks. Savanna Aguilar and Sequoia Flott each had two of the five kills, with Rochelle Dizon registering the only other kill for the Wolverines.

San Bernardino will participate at the Victor Valley quads event this Friday afternoon before having more than a week off of game competition before starting Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play Oct. 6 at Palomar.
