Rallies Come Up Short for Wolverines

Finding itself in another early deficit Wednesday evening, the San Bernardino Valley College women's volleyball team was forced to rally against College of the Desert in the final Pacific Coast Athletic Conference North Division match at home this season.

Unfortunately, the Wolverines ran out of time in each of the three sets, falling to the Roadrunners 25-10, 25-15, 25-15.

The Roadrunners jumped out to a big lead in the first set, leading at one point 17-4. The Wolverines made a valiant attempt to comeback, forcing Desert to call a time out to right the ship. After the timeout, the Roadrunners were able to finish the job, taking set one 25-10.

San Bernardino Valley was able to stay close in the next two sets, but a pair of long scoring runs from the Roadrunners was able to give Desert some breathing room to close out each set at 25-15.

San Bernardino Valley's lone sophomore, was honored before the game, and she had a strong game from her libero position, posting eight digs. Savanna Aguilar and Rochelle Dizon each had four kills to lead the Wolverines, with Dizon contributing nine digs and Aguilar adding eight more.
