SBVC Women’s Volleyball: Myles signs letter of intent

SBVC Women's Volleyball sophomore middle blocker Yamiq Myles (Moreno Valley Vista del Lago) has signed a letter of intent with Bethany College in Kansas.

On the court, Myles, nicknamed "Beastie," was named first team all-Foothill Conference. She finished 1st in conference with a 1.11 block per set average, Miles also finished 2nd in conference in hitting percentage with a .284 average. She finished 6th in Conference with 148 kills and finished 3rd in Conference with 24 solo blocks. Miles had a season high 16 kills at home versus Victor Valley on October 7th and 9 total blocks at East L.A. on September 25th.

The 2015 season was the eighth year for head coach Tricia Holder as SBVC ended the season with a record of 6-16 overall and 3-7 in Conference, finishing fourth.

Bethany College is located in Lindsborg, Kansas, which is about 70 miles north of Wichita, Kansas and about 195 miles west of Kansas City, Missouri. The Bethany Swedes play at Stroble-Gibson Gymnasium, and the team is coached by second-year coach, Cheri Lindsay. In the 2015 season, the Swedes went 5-15 in conference play, with an overall record of 9-22. The Swedes ended the 2015 season in ninth place in Conference. BC is in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) of NAIA.
