2014 Season in Review - Women's Volleyball

The 2014 season was the seventh year for head coach Tricia Rossman as SBVC ended the season with a record of 7-15 overall and 3-7 in Conference, finishing fourth.

The 2014 season was the seventh year for head coach Tricia Rossman as SBVC ended the season with a record of 7-15 overall and 3-7 in Conference, finishing fourth.

On the court, sophomore middle blocker Lashay Cason (Fontana Summit) was named first team all-Foothill Conference. She finished 8th in conference with a 4.97 kills per set average, Cason also finished 12th in conference with 27 service aces. She finished 2nd in Conference with 277 kills and led the team with 14 solo blocks. Cason had a season high 28 kills at Rio Hondo on November 5th and 7 service aces at against L.A. Harbor on September 3rd.

Named to the second team all-Conference was sophomore setter Jessica Socha (Riverside Martin Luther King, Jr.). Socha led the conference in total assists with 332 and finished 4th in conference averaging 11.45 assists per set. She finished the season with 27 service aces and 149 digs. Socha was also named to the 2013 second team All-Foothill Conference.

Also named to the second team all-Conference was freshman libero Karina Solis (Fontana H.S.). Solis led the team with 346 overall digs, finishing 4th in Conference with 185 digs, averaging of 6.17 digs per set.

Those who received an honorable mention were freshman middle blocker Taylor Perkins (Rialto H.S.) and freshman outside hitter Cara Littlefield (Grand Terrace H.S.).

Perkins led the team with 36 block assists. Littlefield finished 5th in conference and led the team with 35 service aces, collecting 215 digs.
