SBVC Women's Track & Field sent nine student athletes to the Cal State LA Invitational in the University Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles on March 6th and 7th. Of the 18 events, SBVC participated in nine events, two finished in the top 15, one of which were top 10, and one finished in the top 5.
SBVC claimed fifth and sixth place in the javelin throw, 12th place in the 4x400 meter relay, and 14th in the 400 meter hurdles.
Finishing fifth in the javelin throw was freshman Cara Littlefield (Grand Terrace H.S.) who threw for a distance of 18.56 meters, 2.92 meters ahead of her nearest competition. Littlefield also claimed a 14th place finish in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:11.80, which was 0.96 seconds ahead of her nearest opponent. Finishing sixth in the javelin throw was sophomore Tiffani King (San Bernardino Temple Learning Center) who came in with a distance of 29.97 meters, 0.23 meters ahead of her nearest competition.
SBVC also claimed 12th in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of time of 4:28.34.
