SBVC Women's Track & Field will send five student athletes to the CCCAA Southern California Track & Field Prelims at Cerritos College on May 2nd. The SoCal Finals will take place a week later on May 9th at Cerritos College.
Freshman Cara Littlefield (Grand Terrace H.S.) automatically qualified for four events at the SoCal Prelims including the javelin throw, ranking 24th in SoCal with a distance of 25.26 meters, long jump (25th/4.62m), 400 meter dash (14th/61.00) and 400 meter hurdles (19th/69.12).
Freshman Taneeah Madison (Rialto W.A. Carter) qualified for three events, including the shot put ranking 14th in SoCal with a distance of 10.43 meters, hammer throw (21st/34.98m) and discus throw (27th/29.30m).
Sophomore Jazmin Romero-Ordonez (Beaumont H.S.) automatically qualified for two events at the SoCal Prelims including the 1500 meter run (15th/4:58.28) and the 800 meter run (19th/2:26.36).
Sophomore Tiffani King (San Bernardino Temple Learning Center) the Pacific Coast Conference champion in the javelin throw was an automatic qualifier, ranking 18th in SoCal with a distance of 28.43 meters. She will be an alternate for the hammer throw (3rd/30.79m), discus throw (6th/29.95m) and shot put (13th/6.91m).
Freshman Briana McField (Rialto W.A. Carter) qualified for two events at the SoCal Prelims including the long jump (26th/4.49m) and the 100 meter hurdles (26th/17.87).
