Coach Rodriguez returns to Valley for her fifth year overall as assistant coach after spending the 2016 season at Peninsula College in Washington where she helped guide the Pirates to the 2016 NWAC Championship and a final season ranking of #13 in the country for Division I junior colleges. She will work primarily with the goalkeepers this season.

Rodriguez also brings with her extensive experience coaching at the youth level. She served one year as head coach for Legends FC Riverside and four years as head coach for the junior varsity boys’ soccer team at Redlands East Valley High School. Her coaching résumé also includes six years with Fullerton Rangers FC and Esperanza High School and two years with Empire Soccer.

Rodriguez attended Cal State Fullerton and played soccer where she was a member of the 2005 and 2006 Big West championship teams.

She grew up in Redlands, CA, and attended Redlands East Valley High School where she was a 4-year letter winner in cross country, soccer and track. She was named 2nd Team All-CIF in both cross country and soccer which resulted in being named Athlete of the Year in her final year of high school.
