Wolverines Soar Over Eagles for Fifth in a Row

Caitlyn Sauceda scored two goals and Fabiola Sanchez added a goal and assist as the San Bernardino Valley College women's soccer team extended its winning streak to five with a7-0 victory over Mt. San Jacinto in a Pacific Coast Athletic Conference game.

The Wolverines (5-1-0, 2-0-0) broke through early in the eighth minute as Karen Jacobs scored her fourth goal of the season, converting a pass from Maria Carino.

Sauceda scored her first goal in the 13th minute, then earned her brace in the 28th. About a minute later Sanchez drove a corner kick into the box, where Morgan Simmang headed the ball home for her first goal of the year.

In all, the Wolverines fired the ball at the Mt. San Jacinto goal 30 times, forcing Eagles' goaltender Sarah Sawyer to make 13 saves. Kerstin Lecon went the distance for SBVC, getting credit for four saves, all on shots from long distance.

Nayeli Sandoval and Jennifer Buenrostro also scored for the Wolverines.
