SBVC Women's Soccer: Garcia signs National Letter of Intent.

Garcia a team captain and two-year starter for the Wolverines participated in all 24 games for SBVC in 2016 leading the Wolverines defense to 19 shutouts on the season, a new season records for shutouts in a season for the SBVC women's soccer program. For her efforts, Garcia was named 1st Team All -Pacific Coast Conference in 2016 and was an All-Conference award recipient as well in 2015 as a freshman.

Garcia will join fellow Valley Soccer alumna Allison Herrin (Citrus Valley HS) at UAPB as Herrin will be a senior on the squad next season.

The Valley College Women's Soccer Team finished the season ranked 8th in the nation by the NSCAA, ending the year with a 19-1-4 overall record and a 12-0-3 conference record. They were rewarded with a #5 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. As a reward for their eighth Conference Championship, the team was bestowed with the Conference Coach of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors as well as four first team All-Conference players.

The University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff is located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The Lady Lions are coached by 3rd year head coach, Jamie Hutchinson. In the 2016 season, the Lions went 9-8-1 and advanced to the championship game of the SWAC conference tournament. The University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff is an NCAA Division I institution whom plays in the Southwest Athletic Conference.
