SBVC Women's Soccer: Chadd Signs Letter of Intent

SBVC Women's Soccer redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Savannah Chadd (Murrieta Mesa High School) has signed a letter of intent with Texas A&M, Texarkana.

Chadd was named the starting keeper for the 2015 season but suffered a knee injury in the second game of the year against Santiago Canyon College which essentially ended her season. In 2016, Chadd redshirted and spent the year rehabilitating that knee to prepare to move on to a 4-year university and make an impact on her new soccer team. 

The 2016 team finished the season ranked 8th in the nation by the NSCAA, ending the year with a 19-1-4 overall record and a 12-0-3 conference record. They were rewarded with a #5 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. As a reward for their eighth Conference Championship, the team was bestowed with the Conference Coach of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year honors as well as four first team All-Conference players.

Texas A&M, Texarkana is located in Texarkana, Texas. The Eagles play at TAMUT Soccer Field and the team is coached by 2nd year head coach, Don Koontz. In the 2016 season, the Eagles went 6-5 in conference play finishing in 5
th place, with an overall record of 13-7. Texas A&M Texarkana is in the Red River Athletic Conference of the NAIA.
