SBVC (15-2-3; 6-1-1) may have played its last game against the Rancho Cucamonga Chaffey Panthers (12-2-4; 4-1-3) and it was a splendid effort by both teams, but the home team would prevail, 1-0.

SBVC would open up the scoring in the 22nd minute as sophomore midfielder Julissa Magana (Bloomington H.S.) battled for a pass that looked to nearly out and then brought it back to center. Magana then lobbed a perfect attempt into an open freshman forward Baylee Williams (Beaumont H.S.) who clobbered the shot into the back of the net to give SBVC the early, 1-0 lead.

Both keepers made nine saves a piece and SBVC freshman starting goalkeeper Arianna Rodriguez (La Quinta H.S) collected her seventh clean sheet of the season in the victory. The Panthers controlled the corners with nine, including seven in the second half alone, SBVC only had four corners.
