SBVC Women’s Soccer: Fisher signs letter of intent

SBVC Women's Soccer sophomore defender Lauren Fisher (Colton H.S.) has signed a letter of intent with Louisiana State University at Alexandria.

Fisher who played in 11 games and helped anchor a defense that supplied 12 of 15 total team shutouts.

 The team finished the season ranked 11th in the nation by the NSCAA, and were ranked fourth in Southern California and sixth in the state. Ending the year with a 15-2-6 overall record and a 7-0-3 conference record. They were rewarded with a #8 seed in the Southern California Regional Playoffs. As a reward for their sixth Conference Championship, the team was bestowed with four first team All-Conference honors and four second team All-Conference honors.

Louisiana State University at Alexandria is located in Alexandria, Louisiana, which is about 185 miles northwest of New Orleans and about 80 miles west of the Mississippi-Louisiana boarder. The LSUA Generals play at the Soccer Complex, and the team is coached by head coach, Michael Poropat, who is going into his second season. In the 2014 season, the Generals went 6-3 in conference play, with an overall record of 9-8-1. LSUA is in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) of NAIA.
