Michael Anderson Sr. is from South Central Los Angeles and currently resides in Riverside and is the proud father of three children -- two sons and one daughter. He became the Head Coach of Rialto High Girls Basketball program in 2008. While at Rialto High, Anderson led the Lady Knights to five straight undefeated league titles. In 2011, Coach Anderson led Rialto to the school's first-ever CIF and regional state titles.

In 2014, Anderson became the Head Coach of Arroyo Valley High School Girls basketball program and has since led the Lady Hawks to four straight league titles. As a high school head coach Anderson has a combined overall record of 217 wins to 41 loses.

Anderson is thrilled to be on board with SBVC in his debut season as a collegiate Assistant Coach.

Coach Torres says of Anderson, “He knows what he is doing basketball wise and he can develop players who aren’t sound yet. A head coach is only as strong as their assistants are, so I had to get the best in the area to be a part of the new program.”
