Wolverines Roll Past Copper Mountain

Three players scored in double figures and the San Bernardino Valley College women's basketball team opened a 15-4 lead after the opening 10 minutes as they knocked off Copper Mountain 66-47 Wednesday night at SBVC.

The Wolverines expanded their lead in the second quarter, leading at the break by 20. They held off a second half rally by Copper Mountain to win their second game in a row, moving them into third place in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference.

Trinity Harper led the way for SBVC, scoring 16 points. Jazlyn Jackson added 12, while Julianna Sanchez had 11. Destiny Alexander had eight points and 12 rebounds in the winning effort.

Copper Mountain's Lelisa Watson led all scorers with 27 points.
