SBVC Softball: Melchor walk-off homer wins it in extras over Pirates, 2-1

What is just as impressive is that sophomore right handed starting pitcher Alicia Morris (5-3) (San Bernardino Cajon) had a perfect game through three and two thirds and had a shut out going through seven. She eventually surrendered an unearned run in the top of the eighth, but her line for the afternoon included four hits and striking out five for her fifth win of the season.

Melchor went 2 for 4 with a run scored and two runs batted in, the runner on base at the time for the home run was sophomore first baseman Alese Graham (Redlands East Valley). Morris went 2 for 3 in the victory and sophomore second baseman Serena Ovalles (Redlands H.S.) went 2 for 3 on the afternoon.
